  • Chris Ann Catanese - Assistant Vice President of Ancora Family Wealth Advisors
    Chris is an Assistant Vice President of Ancora Family Wealth Advisors. She also has served for the past thirteen years as the Head Varsity Cheerleading Coach at Gilmour Academy. She and her husband have four children and are active parishioners at Gesu Parish where she is involved with the Gesu Youth Group. She is also a member of the Gesu Women's Guild.   • David Smith - Founder and President Emeritus
    David Smith is a founding member of Honduran Children's Rescue Fund and serves as the President. He is a former Director of Sales Operations from Swagelok Company in Solon, OH. He obtained his B.S. in Economics at Villanova University. He is also a honorary Board Member of The Newman Foundation of Northeast Ohio and an active member of Gesu Parish.
  • Joe Ciuni - Vice President
    Joe Ciuni is a Practice Leader and Municipal Engineer for the GPD Group-Architects, Engineers, Planners. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and a Professional Surveyor in the state of Ohio. He serves as the named City Engineer for Beachwood, Hunting Valley, Bedford, Shaker Heights, Streetsboro, and University Heights.

  • Sheila Birch - Treasurer of Honduran Childrens Rescue Fund
    Sheila is the Treasurer. Retired CPA, and former audit partner from Ciuni and Panachi Inc, she brings her experience with small business, government and nonprofits. She graduated from Ursuline College and completed her accounting studies at John Carroll University. She was the Treasurer for Recovery Resources, Inc. and the Bratenahl Community Foundation.

  • Alby Glassmeyer
    Alby Glassmeyer was born and raised in Colombia, South America and worked extensively with Sr. Rosa and Sociedad Amigos de los Niños in the early 2000’s. When an HCRF mission group arrived in 2003, Alby met her husband, John. They were married and she moved to the United States. A CPA by education, Alby is currently a Montessori grade school teacher and treasures her involvement with HCRF.
  • Amy Zucca
    Having recently retired from full-time work, Amy Zucca now serves as the Outreach Coordinator for Church of the Gesu in University Heights. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bowling Green State University, majoring in mathematics education and minoring in art, specializing in ceramics. She continued at John Carroll University earning a Master of Science degree in mathematics.
  • Ashley Ponce - Director of Marketing & Social Media
    Ashley Ponce is the Intake & Referral Specialist for Catholic Charities Migration & Refugee Legal Services. She previously worked at Church of the Gesu where she became connected with HCRF and the Honduras Mission. She received her Bachelors Degree in Spanish from John Carroll University.   • Dale Lewis of Honduran Children's Rescue Fund
    Dale was employed at Saint Luke's Medical Center for 35 years until its closing in 2000. Most of those years, Dale was the Director of Pharmacy Services. He then worked at Kindred Hospital for eleven years. Retired now, Dale is involved in numerous volunteer activities at Gesu. He coordinates all of the medication for the Gesu medical brigades to Honduras. Dale has been on 20 mission trips to Honduras.
  • Daniel Krinsky
    Daniel Krinsky is an entrepreneur and pharmacist who is passionate about advancing patient care, the profession of pharmacy, and philanthropic activities. He became involved in serving the people of Honduras through a medical mission trip back in 2006. Next to his family, this has become his primary passion.
  • Fr. Lukas M. Laniauskas, SJ
    In June of 2021, Fr. Lukas M. Laniauskas, SJ became pastor of Church of the Gesu. Fr. Laniauskas came from his final stage of Jesuit formation called Tertianship in Dublin, Ireland. Fr. Lukas M.   • Dr. Jack Licate
    Jack A. Licate, Ph.D. received his B.S. from St. Louis University and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Chicago. He has lived and worked in Mexico and traveled to Honduras numerous times. He is the retired Chairman of the Cleveland Clinic's Division of Institutional Relations and Development.
  • Dr. Megan Smith
    Megan Smith, MD, MPH is a physician in Nashville, Tennessee with family ties to HCRF. Early experiences traveling to Honduras shaped her interest in medicine and public health. Her professional interests include equitable healthcare and preventive medicine. Dr. Smith continues her efforts as Medical Liaison for the Honduran Children's Rescue Fund Board.

    Pat is a retired educator and professional counselor who has worked at both the university and high school levels. She spent the last twenty years of her career at Gilmour Academy where she was introduced to the mission of Sister Rosa through the student mission trips Gilmour took each year to Nuevo Paraiso.     Rosemary Nemeth has taught in the Catholic Diocese for over 38 years. 34 of the years have been at Gesu School. She teaches part time at John Carroll University in the Education Department and for WVIZ/PBS Ideastream.
